Or, are you finding it hard to manage your emotions? If so, let me help. Working collaboratively, we can identify the changes you want to make in your life and I can assist you with gaining tools and developing strategies to achieve your therapeutic goals. To learn more about me, please read on.

After working for over ten years in social services, I returned to school and earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. I am an Idaho Licensed Master Social Worker and therapist at K-Counseling & Anxiety Treatment Center. In my work with clients over the years, I have had the privilege of working with people from various backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures. I strongly believe that we all deserve dignity and respect, which is a cornerstone for my work with clients. I practice from a strengths-based perspective, drawing from several therapeutic modalities. I approach my work with clients with unconditional positive regard and a person-centered focus. It is my goal to build a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients where they feel safe and supported on their healing journey. Cultivating hope and resiliency is central to the work I do with individuals, as it helps them identify their strengths and reach their full potential. As clients begin to recognize their unique abilities, capabilities and learn new skills, they are better able to identify their own solutions leading to empowerment, confidence and a greater sense of well-being.

In my spare time, I enjoy digging in the garden or tossing a ball around with my pups. I’m happiest outdoors, a stroll on the seashore or a mountain hike is sure to refresh my soul. Reading is my great escape, letting me be anything I want or go anywhere without ever leaving my couch. I cherish time spent with my husband, family and friends. I find delight in the little things in life, like seeing a rainbow after a rain or smelling the fragrance of spring as flowers begin to open after a long winter.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your time here. I invite you to schedule an appointment with me today and begin your healing journey. You will find at K-Counseling, we offer a warm and caring environment which fosters healing and hope for those we serve.

You can call me “Abby.” I have lived in Idaho for the past fifteen wonderful years and recently moved back to Boise with my partner and our beautiful daughter. I love baking and reading. I studied graphic and media arts in college, and spend much of my free time painting and drawing. I love to help people and have spent the last ten years working face to face with our community. I feel very grateful to be part of a business that cares about the well-being of others as much as I do. At K-Counseling, we are committed to making you feel safe from the moment you enter our lobby. And, all of us here, at K-Counseling, are committed to doing whatever it takes to help you feel better as quickly as possible.
